In the service for Ray, a track that his grand-daughter played on was used for the period of reflection. It was so touching. His son-in-law Ian read a poem, and his three daughters said their farewells in their own way. Ray's three daughters were all so different, but all loved him in their own way.
On 4th August, Adrian and Alan said farewell to their dear mum Iren. She had come to England from Hungary in 1956, in difficult circumstances, but had gone on to build a happy family life with Josef. Her sons were so dignified, helping to carry the coffin into the chapel, and giving a reading. The sadness at her passing was evident in everyone there.
On a lovely afternoon in Hawkinge we said farewell to Eric. The service was well attended and his eldest daughter gave the eulogy, filled with lovely stories from all four of his children. It was a lovely service, and they went on to have a great gathering in their local, where they completed the puzzle that had been left unfinished when Eric died.
Linda and Janet said goodbye to their Mum - in a simple but respectful service. Life had not always been easy for Jill but she was peaceful and loving at the end. Her daughters understood why and gave her a lovely send off.
My family visit with George's family had every member present in a room completely filled with love. Rita, and her two daughters, son-in-law and grand-daughter were just the loveliest of families. We had a wonderful service, with humour, tears and love in abundance. Best wishes to them all.
On 22nd July - we said goodbye to Don - the patriarch of a most dignified family, who gave Don the most loving send off possible. His son gave a wonderful eulogy that brimmed with stories of his Dad's love for his wife, children and grandchildren. Don was a lover of Jazz and the music played was quite simply perfect.
John lost his brave fight with cancer just a short time before his first grandson was to be born. His daughter Jen was amazing on the day, despite being heartbroken. She gave birth to her son just three days later. Bless you all. x
We said goodbye to Evelyn, who had reached the grand age of 95. Her son Roger initially told me that there was little to say about her, and then proceeded to regale me with hilarious stories of her life. A lovely send off.
A touching but heartwarming ceremony today for Del, whose dear wife Rosa was too ill to attend. Claire and her children did him proud though!
So sad today to see the distress of two sisters who had lost their beloved Dad. We did him proud with a lovely send off that portrayed his real character. Both ladies were visibly comforted by the talk of their Dad. I wish them comfort in their grief.
