Where to have your wedding or civil partnership
A civil celebrant can conduct your wedding ceremony in any place or your choice. That is most often in a lovely hotel or in a setting that may already be registered to conduct marriages.
However, a celebrant can also conduct your ceremony in unlicensed locations. We can conduct your wedding in a woodland, on a beach, on a favourite hillside, in your own gardens or home, or any other location that you wish. Your ceremony can take place inside, or in the open air. We do not have the constraints of a standard ceremony structure, or time, like a registrar, which leaves us free to create the ceremony of your dreams, tailored to your own wishes. This means you can have your day – your way!
How we will proceed together
We will meet a few months before your ceremony, to get to know each other and to understand your wishes, and then, in full consultation with you, we will create your dream day.
You may wish for a rehearsal before the big day, and then on the day, your ceremony will be delivered in a sincere and sensitive way to ensure that it is a great success.
There are many unusual elements that can be incorporated into a wedding celebration, to make your day unique to you: personalised vows, handfastings; unity candles and sand ceremonies are just some of the options available to you. You may require help with support and ideas regarding readings, poems, songs, and elements within the service.

IMPORTANT – Please be aware that as a civil celebrant, I cannot conduct the legal marriage ceremony. Legal marriage formalities in the UK can only be undertaken by a registrar or a minister of religion – except in Scotland where different regulations apply. Therefore, you would need to have short meeting at your local registrar services before your ceremony, to make your marriage legal.
Costs
Wedding and Civil Partnership from £700. This covers the initial meeting, ceremony preparation, rehearsal and presentation on the day. If overnight accommodation is required, this will have to be added. Please see my Terms & Conditions page for my costs and cancellations policy.
