Wedding Fair Launch at Oakwood Weddings

Hello,

If you are looking for a beautiful setting for your wedding, outdoors among mother nature, come and see me at Oakwood Weddings launch day on Sunday April 29th. I hope to meet you there.

A Farewell to Frank

Frank's service was attended by his three daughters and their families and was a celebration of his long life. There was sadness that he had still been estranged from his son, but the family gave Frank the best send off possible. His son-in-law read the eulogy and his eldest daughter did a reading, with fitting music choices to complete the service. A lovely service, attended by many.

Farewell Baby Olly

Olly had left his parents before he had made his full arrival into this world. He was already much loved, and the service was attended by his parents and both sets of grand parents. There were tears all round. Instead of a eulogy, we read Olly a bedtime story, picked by Kate, and the music and poems were just perfect for the occasion. The service finished with the song "Somewhere over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawi'wole. When the family arrived home after the service, their home was topped by a double rainbow. Kate sent me the picture, and we cannot help but think that Olly was sending a message. God Bless!

A cheeky send off for Olive

Olive was affectionately known as The Old Boot by her son-in-law Richard. He delivered a lovely eulogy, full of happy memories, which made the mourners smile a few times. This service was a celebration of a life well lived. I wish her family well.

Farewell to Bryan

Bryan had lived to the age of 85, but had been unwell at the end. His memory had not been good, but his family were still so close to him. His send off was heartfelt - humorous and tender, with a great sing-song and mourners from babies to people in their 80's. A lovely service.

Be Prepared

Patricia (Pat) was a lovely lady who had prepared her own service so that her family did not have to. Her choice of music and poems were all so positive and gave a great message to her mourners. The chapel was packed with people of all ages, and the comments at the end of the service were lovely. She had picked well and her message had been received loud and clear. Best wishes to her children Tracy and Glen. Farewell Pat. x

Head of the Family

Roy was Dad to seven grown up children and three adored step-children. His lovely wife Dawn was his rock, and she was so dignified at his service, so composed despite her tears. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were all there and the chapel was full. We gave him a lovely service, with music that he loved and a warm farewell.

Hard to say goodbye

We said farewell to Pat, who had just reached her 50th wedding anniversary with Roger, who she had married at just 18 years old. Roger was heartbroken, inconsolable throughout the service, particularly when we played their favourite song at the period of reflection. My heart went out to his three sons who tried to help him through it all. Roger and Pat were a true example of one true love for life, and I wish him well as he tries to carry on without her.

Farewell to Julie

It was a very sad day. Julie was only 68, but had health issues for some time. Her heartbroken husband Maurice chose all the music that she loved by Roy Orbison. Even the poem used was lyrics from a song by Roy Orbison. A lovely send off for a loving and gracious lady.

A long and happy life

Ted was just months away from his 100th birthday when he passed away. His family extended to 4 further generations and they were all their to say goodbye on the day. Ted had lived a full life until the end, and this was a true celebration of a life well lived.
