Hard to say goodbye
We said farewell to Pat, who had just reached her 50th wedding anniversary with Roger, who she had married at just 18 years old. Roger was heartbroken, inconsolable throughout the service, particularly when we played their favourite song at the period of reflection. My heart went out to his three sons who tried to help him through it all. Roger and Pat were a true example of one true love for life, and I wish him well as he tries to carry on without her.
